We specialize in developing client-owned dogs into highly trained service dogs through a custom, immersive board-and-train program lasting approximately 4 to 9 months. Rather than providing a pre-trained dog, we evaluate your dog and build a personalized plan covering obedience, public access, and the specialized task work needed to mitigate your disability.
For clients purchasing a puppy from a breeder. We focus on early socialization, confidence building, crate training, environmental exposure, leash introduction, and the skills needed for future service dog training.
Dogs should already be potty trained, house trained, crate trained, and properly socialized. These foundational skills are the owner's responsibility before formal service dog training begins.
Payment is due per your training contract before training begins. Payment plans are available only for our fully trained Command K9 Service Dog Program.
Not every dog is suited for service work. Every dog completes a thorough evaluation first. Successful candidates show:
No skittishness, fearfulness, or excessive whining
No aggression or reactivity toward dogs, children, or adults
Comfort in public, with resilience to noise, traffic, and crowds
High food drive (all programs); high toy drive for mobility & medical alert
We do not accept certain breeds (pit bulls, Staffordshire/bull terriers, American bullies, chow chows, or dogs under 20–25 lbs). Call to discuss whether your dog qualifies.

Because you own the dog, we cannot replace it if it develops behavioral concerns, lacks the necessary drive, or is ultimately determined unsuitable for service work. No ethical trainer can guarantee any dog will complete service training. This is why we place such emphasis on evaluation, genetics, early socialization, temperament, and drive — and why we discuss realistic expectations before training begins. Throughout the program you'll receive 1–3 updates each week with photos, videos, and detailed notes.
